Fire Rescue Victoria turns 5 today but Vic labor and FRv Execs have taken fire services into the Dark Ages!

Today marks 5 years since Fire Rescue Victoria was established — a reform meant to deliver stronger fire services and better protection for all Victorians.

But while firefighters continue to show up, day in and day out, the promises made to them — and to the community — remain broken.

🏢 No new fire stations built.

🚒 63% of fire trucks overdue for replacement.

💻 Crumbling infrastructure and unreliable IT systems.

🚨 An Executive Team that has No Confidence from FRV employees.

This isn’t just a crisis inside FRV — it’s a risk to the public.

When fire stations go unbuilt, fire trucks are out-of-date, and frontline resources are stretched thin, the safety of Victorians is on the line.

The Victorian Government must step in and fix what FRV’s Executive Team has failed to deliver.

Because firefighters can’t do their job if the system around them is broken — and the community can’t afford to wait any longer.

Five years is long enough. Victorians deserve better
