FIRE TRUCK CRISIS AT DANDENONG

2 Trucks Offline — Including Critical Rescue Ladder Platform

The Dandenong Fire Station has been dealt a serious blow — two fire trucks are currently offline, including the Ladder Platform; a specialist truck designed for rescues and battling fires from above.

This vital piece of equipment is out of service due to a catastrophic hydraulic failure, which has resulted in oil flooding onto the ground, rendering the vehicle unusable. 🛠️💥

This truck plays a critical role in major incidents across Melbourne’s southeast — its loss is a serious risk to both firefighter safety and community protection.

Crisis like this are why firefighters recently voted over 90% NO CONFIDENCE in Commissioner Gavin Freeman. Premier Allan needs to turn her attention to the real crisis within Fire Rescue Victoria; a failure of leadership under Commissioner Freeman.
