Ascot Vale has been left unprotected by an out-of-date fire truck — again.

Firefighters at Fire Station 50 in Ascot Vale are stranded today after water blasted from the truck’s firefighting pump, forcing it offline and leaving crews waiting for a replacement from the CBD.

This truck should’ve been replaced three years ago, but it’s still on the road, failing repeatedly and putting firefighters and the community at risk.

Victorians are paying double for the emergency services tax, yet FRV is facing a $114 million funding cut — enough to replace more than 100 fire trucks.

Victorians should hold the Allan Government accountable.
