Firefighters at Fire Station 09 Somerton were left with a fire truck that was refusing to start, and even when it barely started, with the way it sounded, it wasn’t going to help anyone!
This truck is years beyond its service life and should have been replaced long ago. Instead, the Allan Government continues to underfund replacement fire trucks, leaving more than 66% of Melbourne’s fire truck fleet put of date and breaking down.
