Springvale Fire truck offline

Firefighters at Fire Station 89 Springvale were forced to take their truck offline today after crews discovered dangerous wear on the rear tyres. Once removed, the full extent of the damage was revealed.

FRV’s spare trucks are constantly being shuffled around to plug the holes in an ageing fleet — and even they’re starting to show the strain.

Fire service mechanics are working around the clock just to keep trucks on the road, overwhelmed by the constant stream of breakdowns and faults.

Meanwhile, Vicki Ward and the Allan Government seem more worried about their half-finished train tunnels and photo ops than the fact someone could lose their life because Victoria’s fire service is dangerously under-resourced.
