Firefighters from Fire Station 62 (Corio) were responding to an emergency at Barwon Prison when their fire truck overheated and had to be taken offline at the incident.
To make matters worse, crews were forced to call around the state looking for a spare fire truck — but none are available.
The fire truck crisis has reached breaking point.
