At 10am this morning, the last rescue capable ladder platform in Melbourne was removed from service due to safety faults.
This 22 year old truck has repeatedly failed.
This is yet another failure by Fire Rescue Victoria Commissioner Gavin Freeman to protect Victorians. This is occurring whilst he is on a junket in America, presumably telling them how good of a job he’s doing.
Ladder platforms are critical for high rise fires, rescues, and firefighter safety.
When will the Commissioner and Government act.
