FRV firefighters don’t just protect communities in FRV areas—they provide support wherever they’re needed.
Yesterday, firefighters from FS72 Mildura were first on scene at a structure fire in a neighbouring CFA area, providing valuable assistance to local brigades. Later, they traveled across the border into NSW to assist with their new Pumper Platform—an aerial appliance capable of reaching heights of up to 28m.
This Pumper Platform is one of the few new trucks to enter FRV, but more are desperately needed to assist in resolving the dire issue with the state of the aerial fleet in FRV. The Victorian Government must act now to replace the aging fleet—not just for FRV communities, but for all those who rely on their support.
