FRV Leadership directing spin instead of the sickening truth

Under the management of Tom McPherson and Gavin Freeman, the FRV media department spin doctors seem more interested in managing the narrative than telling the truth.

Firefighters were forced to battle this fire while dealing with a critical truck failure right in the middle of the fight. But when FRV tells the story, apparently there’s nothing to see here. Incredibly, the broken truck is visible in the very photo FRV posted themselves! Naturally the comments are turned off in much the same way FRV leaders turn off from accountability.

With this breakdown, all five of FRV’s specialist Telboom appliances were off the road for repairs. That means five critical pieces of firefighting equipment were unavailable to protect firefighters and the Victorian community.

This is exactly why firefighters delivered an overwhelming vote of more than 90% NO CONFIDENCE in Tom McPherson, Gavin Freeman and Tony Matthews.

Firefighters are sick of the cover-ups.

They’re sick of the spin.

They’re sick of misinformation being pushed out by the unnamed “FRV spokesperson”.

They are sick of being called liars by the very management responsible for this crisis.

And they are sick of the Allan Labor Government’s ongoing inaction on the truck crisis, while FRV leadership refuses to be honest with the public about the true state of the fleet.

Victorians deserve transparency.

Firefighters deserve the equipment they need to do the job safely.

Right now, they’re getting neither.
