Last night, firefighters from Glen Waverley responded to a shed fire in Wheelers Hill — and suffered complete pump failure while attacking a shed fire.
Another fire truck arrived quickly, but if this had been a house fire, firefighters would have been inside relying on that failed pump.
Tonight was luck. Next time won’t be.
This truck should have been replaced 3 years ago. To make matters even worse, there is no spare fire trucks left in Victoria to replace it.
Meanwhile, the Allan Government cut $114 million from FRV — enough to replace more than 100 fire trucks.
The Allan Government slashes.
Victoria burns.
