Power Station Fire raises Question with so many trucks out of commission and not fit for purpose, can it be contained?

A “significant” fire is currently unfolding at Yallourn Power Station in the Latrobe Valley this afternoon.

The station supplies approximately 20-30 per cent of the state’s power, and lots of firefighters are on the scene today.

“I’m not quite sure how firefighters will be able to contain it,” Peter Marshall from the United Firefighters Union told Jacqui Felgate.

Lets hope the fire can be contained and the few available appliances are able to get the job done.
