Following over a year out of service, Sunshine’s Teleboom broke down in the middle of a 3rd alarm structure fire in Altona North.
This 24 year old Appliance should have been taken off the road 9 years ago.
Despite this setback our members went above and beyond to successfully mitigate and contain the fire in Millers Rd Altona.
Unfortunately, this is yet another example of Victoria’s aging and unreliable Fleet putting the community and Firefighters at risk.
As we saw in Truganina recently, the breakdown of appliances on scene can have devastating effects on property and life.
When will Jaclyn Symes act and give Victorians the fleet they deserve and pay for and do what we pay her to deliver?
