3rd Alarm Factory Fire in Sunshine hampered due to missing Truck!

The attack on a 3rd Alarm Industrial Fire in Sunshine that occurred last night was hampered due to Sunshine Fire Station’s dedicated Teleboom being Out of Commission.

Instead of having quick back up from a Truck that should be stationed only 3.8 kms away, Firefighters had to rely on the appliance coming from Thomastown, a further 22kms away.

Sunshine’s Teleboom has been off the road more than it has been on the road over the last 2 years. It should have been replaced in accordance with FRV policy.

Due to a lack of planning and funding from the Allan Labor Government, our Community and Firefighters are being left with a Fire Rescue Fleet that is out of date and not fit for purpose.

What will it take for the Allan Government to act?
