Bendigo firefighters are now without a ladder platform truck!

Bendigo firefighters are now without a ladder platform truck, a vital vehicle for fighting large-scale fires from above and rescuing people from heights of up to 37 metres.

The truck had just returned from a major service a few weeks ago, and it’s already broken down again. Preventative maintenance can only go so far when the equipment is outdated.

What’s worse? There are no spares available to replace it. Too many of these specialist trucks across Victoria are broken down.

This isn’t just any station — this is Bendigo, the home electorate of Premier Jacinta Allan. If even her local brigade can’t be properly resourced, what hope do other Victorian communities have?
