Fire Rescue Victoria is scrambling to find Trucks for communities across the state this morning.
Alarmingly, this has resulted in all operational appliances at the Training Academy being removed to meet some of the shortfall.
Subsequently Recruit Training, continuation training and Operational Promotional Training do not have Fire Trucks to provide critical training and have had to request operational trucks and crews attend to assist with facilitating this training.
Victoria’s Firefighting Fleet is in a shocking state of disrepair and urgently needs planning and funding for a modern, safe and reliable Firefighting fleet.
Time and again FRV and the State Government are leaving Victorian communities and Firefighters at risk due to our Fire Truck Crisis!
