Fire Crisis at Box Hill Fire Station

Firefighters at Fire Station 20 in Box Hill are dealing with yet another faulty fire truck. The auxiliary pump failed, spilling fuel all over the rear yard at the fire station before completely breaking down.

This truck had been reported for issues days ago, but with FRV mechanics struggling to maintain an ageing fleet, breakdowns are becoming more frequent, putting firefighters and the community at risk.

This is why firefighters unanimously voted to take faulty trucks off the road. The Allan Government must act now and invest fire service levy money into replacing outdated trucks, not waste $500,000 on FRV lawyers trying to cover up this Fire Crisis.

Firefighters and the community deserve safe, reliable fire trucks.
