Minister Jaclyn Symes – The mess gets messier – Footscray Fire Station Double Fire Crisis! Major chemical facilities at risk!

Footscray Fire Station DOUBLE Fire Crisis! Fire Station 47 in Footscray is facing a HUGE problem. Their main fire truck went down with a pump failure. They had to rely on a 21-year-old spare truck, 6 YEARS past its service life! This “spare truck” was pulled from the training academy as there are no spare trucks available. The mechanics tried patching it up, but it wouldn’t work either and is also offline. Newport is now stretched thin covering for Footscray! We ALL pay a fire service levy. Shouldn’t we expect reliable fire trucks? Instead the Western Suburbs are being neglected and Victorians are being put at risk due to this Fire Crisis!

Minister Jaclyn Symes and Premier Jacinta Allan – Think about this please. As minister for Emergency Services, you have been the accountable minister for the fire service for a long time now. Why does the problem that places our community and firefighters at major risk keep getting worse? Question to the Premier, why do you allow this mess to continue and grow?
