A critical fire truck is currently out of service due to a malfunction. This truck is essential for battling major blazes across Melbourne.
The accelerator is stuck on: This poses a serious safety risk to firefighters.
Replacement parts are unavailable: Due to the truck being 31 years old, 16 years past its service life, parts need to be shipped from overseas, causing delays.
This situation is unacceptable. Our firefighters shouldn’t have to risk their lives with outdated equipment. This could have a devastating impact on their ability to respond to emergencies and protect our community.
We urge the Victorian Government to invest in a modern fire truck fleet and prioritize the safety of firefighters and residents.
Let the Victorian Government know this simply isn’t good enough!
