The West gets left behind again!

Two FRV stations are now operating at just 50% capacity because there aren’t enough spare trucks to keep crews on the road. Breakdowns in Geelong and Lara mean communities like Corio and Newport are missing out, while Tarneit crews are being shuffled around to plug the gaps.

This isn’t a temporary fix while a spare is found. This is a desperate last-ditch measure to maintain some level of emergency response during a growing crisis.

Victorians are paying more through the Fire Services Levy, yet getting less fire service in return.

Our growing western communities deserve properly resourced emergency services — not patchwork solutions and reduced protection
